Rubber duck travels the world!

Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman has created this giant Rubber Duck that is five storeys high and five storeys wide , and it has been popping up in various cities around the world since 2007.

What makes this project so unique is, as the artist says in his own words:

The Rubber Duck knows no frontiers, it doesn’t discriminate (against) people and doesn’t have a political connotation. The friendly, floating Rubber Duck has healing properties: it can relieve mondial tensions as well as define them. The rubber duck is soft, friendly and suitable for all ages!

The Duck’s purpose is simply to bring a smile to people’s faces. I think it’s awesome creation! I feel so lucky to have seen this happy duck with my own eyes here in Sydney🙂

I hope you get to see him one day too😉
